Description
In this original and 'green' teamchallenge you will build a windmills. In several teams the participants will work with first-class construction materials according the pictures. The windblades however, will be created according the team their own design. Which team will generate the most energy?
It's a competition with sustainability as the main theme; it requires cooperation, problem solving and communication. There are various tasks to be divided within each team.
You will work with a Meccano system (developed by our team) for constructing the tower. You will have to attach the iron parts to the tower with bolts and nuts according to the drawing. The windblades are made according to your design.
Participants without an affinity for technology are challenged with a range of exciting strategic and mind games that have a link with sustainability.
In the final all the participants stand around the wind turbines that will be tested... How many Aperes does each wind turbine produce?
